Meetings and Partings

Note:This poem was written for the following image

We met in spring upon a branch,
And passion made me seek her out.

From branch to blade, I swung.
Up and Down.
Left and Right but she was gone.

Then one tranquil day,

She swung to me
smiled and asked if I was single.
I wasn't.

And so we sat upon the branch.
And spun our empty web with love.
Best friends forever.
