Those who decide not to see are indeed blind. Enjoy

-A World Unaware-

There
Don’t stare
A world
Unaware
Not so clear
Not so opaque
Always between
Darkness and light
In the midst
Of wrong and right
How come
Why not
Who cares
Those few
Indeed dare
All of them
Are strangers
Unlike creatures
Many dangers
Always
Reeling in anger
Unwelcoming
Is the weirdness
Quite supple
Are the characters
Always ruffled
Are the appearances
Everything
And nothing
Same difference
Some semblance
Dancing around
A burning fire
Like ancient cavemen
Like ritual tribesmen
Not accepting
That their lives
Their very existence
Is in mortal danger
Careless
Awareless
They carry right along
Fools for the song
Singing out of tune
Tone deaf
Indeed malcontents
They exist
Beyond all truth
Happy are the lies
The ones they sell
The ones they spell
They avoid certainty
So much so
That no longer
Are they cognizant
That they
Are their own doom
Made by their hands
Dealt by their plans
They will not survive
Because survival requires
What they lack most
God above
Hides behind the sun
Unseen
Mostly believed
Held with much esteem
And they
The muse of this rhyme
Are still intrigued
The ones so doomed
By their own hands
By their own plans
They are certain
Without question
That when they die
In his kingdom
They will go to reside
They will never feel pain
They will no longer suffer
They will be with those
So dearly departed
And that God
Will come out
Exposing himself
To any last ditched doubt
This
A world unaware
Is their world
Their one playable game
And longstanding charade
They are the only fools
For not seeing the truth
They don’t want to
Nor will they ever
So be it
I do as much as I can
To open their eyes
But in the end
I know that they’ll
Always be blind…
