A girl talks about knowing a girl...curious?

(It's some pretty deep stuff but my writing by no means reflects anything on me as a writer)

I know a girl,
That never dares to speak a word,
A wish she hides within herself,
Her only hope is to be heard.
And one day I listened,
I found the reason why.
When she yearned most to be free,
She'd glance up towards the sky.

I know a girl,
Who smiles to hide her pain.
And patches up her broken heart,
Just to break it all again,
She has thoughts she tries to hide,
That are pushing her to fall.
And I'm terrified to realise that,
I have understood them all.

I know a girl,
But it's hard to see her beauty.
For how can I see her light,
When she hides from me to see?
And she wishes she could be more,
Than the person in her heart.
But that is not yet possible,
When the pieces are left apart.

I know a girl,
But I've haven't told a soul.
How whenever now I see her,
I think I don't know her at all.
For she could've been my salvation,
But she became my silent killer.
And when I tried to shut her up,
I smashed my fist into a mirror.
