My cancelled vacation due to an inspection at work - a poem.
As a great worker, or that proud squawker,
A solid team leader, or a smooth talker,
I signal the destinies of a role player,
Living the dream of a huge dragon slayer!

Now focused as ever on my duties and calling,
My own sense of worth is continually falling;
Despite earning a break and a two week vacation
The feds have arrived - I must endure this vocation.

So slender with purpose, and try as I might,
To detail this reason, in spite of this slight,
I struggle and pause and now must slave away,
Time to relax is now, "No way, Jose!"

That hour is comin', I'll need to relate;
Often time off meets this untimely fate...
I'll offer my patience, be glad it worked out -
Then when it's all over, go out and about.
