A poem of gratitude for love from the Lord when my heart is broken.
A heart, cracked but beating,
The arrow, stained red
From years of bleeding.
But still I lend it out.
I stitch up what I can,
Give it to those who stab it again.

Once more it's cracked and bleeding.
When will I learn my lesson?
When there is nothing left to give?

The most beautiful hearts
Are scarred with cracks and crevices;
I want to give up. The pain,
It's too much for me.

I look up to the mountains,
where his love is our stain,
A beautiful stain, I rejoice!
Though my heart is broken,
His love is my affectionate token
Of a promise, to never be broken.
Some sweet day when my time is here
I'll go to a place where there is no fear.
No sorrow shall encase my heart,
and the cracks and bleeding will heal.
No more pain, I will ever have to feel.
Praise God!
