About a girl who wants to say what she feels, but is too afraid to say it

Silence slips

Between each

Breath, before

Every kiss

It spins in

And out

Of lungs and

Dreams

Like shadows

They ebb

Here, there, everywhere

Hiding from the

Light that resides

Inside her eyes

They burn softly

Closed behind

Doors and windows

A secret best told

Once, and then

Never again

She watches the clock

As the sky fills the

Room in which

They lay, quietly

Waiting

As it ticks

And ticks

And ticks
