A thought before bed. needs development
It is much easier to have a long memory for pain than a short one. Pain holds on, clinging like a burr. It may be painful to yank it free, but it's the better choice. Refusal to get rid of something emotional, something that does us no good, is its own problem. How much easier it is to have a pity party, and invite others to hear us whine. Easier? Healthier? Hell, no.

I need to dwell on joy and thanksgiving. I have all I need. The time to toss the trash is here. And I'm going to need a dumpster.
