In-between the lines of this poem is implied my struggles with spirituality and life.
If I didn't have a body
Only a soul
Not unlike anybody
Obviously I'm not whole
Where my heart should be there's a hole

My soul is tattered
Weathered and worn
Scarred and battered
Sewn and re-torn
For it's virgin beauty I mourn

I fear it's hardly there
Ravaged by time and circumstance
Left with mostly hot air
It never had a chance
As parts drift off into the expanse

What if I let it go
Release my soul into the shining night sky
No longer a need for a show
Watching it drift on by
But to my body it's tied
Not far gone
Barely hanging on
