# Snapshot: The Tribunal

Conclusive, without doubt, the Tribunal made his decision in the moment between the harried rush to the Senate and the moment he stepped forward to inform the gathered politicians of the declaration of war. This would be his last action for the state. The negotiations had failed. There was nothing more he could do or say that would change the intention of the Generals. War was inevitable---and he would not be a part of the desperate struggle that must inevitably follow. Blessed home waited, calling him with its siren call of clear mountain air, peaceful glades of pines that sang in the brisk winds, and Asim. Dear, sweet-tempered Asim; never far from the house because of her blindness, but waiting and listening for his return with all her being. Let the war crush them all, he was going home!
