Just a quick example of how writing thrives as an art form.

Literature

Takes words

Neat little English pebbles

Lined up in ancient books

Their rules in solemn stone

Fiction

Is an axe

Cross-eyed

Defies the rules of its twin brother

Pours a voice

Into the silent woodworks

Shows them the art of foolish wisdom

Lets their rafters hum for a while

Art

Shatters

Scoops up the science

And teaches it magic

Ties the words together

Into whips of laughter

Or a singing noose

It twists the language
Haphazard paper puppets

Grinning in a string
