A hitchhiking trip I took. English reading practice for my Japanese son.
In 1993 I took a hitchhiking trip down Highway 101 in Oregon and California. For years, I've tried to write an account, but failed.

Recently, my Japanese son asked me for some English-language books so he could practice. I realized this was a chance to bridge a huge gap between his sheltered Japanese world, and the world I grew up in in America.
