A timeless tale of Phobos Nova.
Phobos Nova was curious Martian, you see;
he would time-travel Using the Stargate for free.
Seems the Stargate was found near Mars’ Face of renown,
where Sir Phobos from dawn until dusk could be found.

Since the Stargate had power o’er time’s ebb and flow,
it was occupied by Martians, row upon row.
(O quite long was the Gate, so the Red Planet Board
  had to make sure its users were in time’s accord.)

And the cost of the Gate stayed significant lot;
there remained penalty for abusers, once caught.
Yet Sir Phobos was mindful and cunning, to wit;
many said moniker of, Magician did fit.

So Sir Phobos would travel through time now and then;
he would journey to planets by altering when.
When he ended up on Jupiter‘s moon one day,
the inhabitants of Io asked him to stay.

The Ionians tamed cosmic horses with wings;
(seems they were space equestrian pros, of all things.)
As Sir Phobos departed the Gate on Io,
he was caught up in Io’s yearly rodeo.

O Sir Phobos was taken by Pegasus ride;
those Ionians got into horses with pride.
Gracious heart in horse sharing, Ionian trait;
on a horse was Phobos flown away from the Gate.*

Yet despite the Ionians' goodhearted slant,
there remained one unusual feature extant.
On the moon no one person nor horse had a name;
still society functioned quite well all the same.

Phobos realized, at once, that he was in deep;
far away from the Gate with extreme dread to keep.
Yet when all seemed so dark like a Stygian black,
in a flash nameless Pegasus brought him on back!

In the annals of Martian lore it remains true
‘bout the time old Sir Phobos was just about through.
But he achieved, with winged support, his bit of fame
when by fate he was saved by a horse with no name.
