An entry for the BLINK contest.
He took a sip and grimaced. “This is hot,” he complained.

She didn't look up from her sandwich. “Well, it is coffee,” she smirked.

They sat in silence for a minute, then he asked, “Have you given it any more thought?”

She put down her sandwich, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and looked him in the eye.

“I said I would marry you,” she sighed. “Why do you keep asking?”
