The depths of betrayal issued by one you love, is forever flooded with tears
Married to the Loss of You

And so I retire. My thoughts, running down my cheeks, leave a trail of weakness upon my skin not visible in the darkness that blankets me this night. The discretion of my emotional flaw being the dimmest of lights in my current world. I sleep...content with the knowledge that my secret was not visible if it was still in fact heard. The rapidity of my breathing slows to calm, even sounds as my heart takes comfort in the seclusion my subconscious tends to offer. Feeling myself slip away, a warmth comes over me, but it is a feeling abruptly challenged by frigid fear...for what if I dream of her?
