thought about the impending death of a loved one
In the early morning hours
as the darkness turns to day
I sit at grandmas table
and listen to what she has to say.

to my surprise I quietly hear her pray.
"Please, dear Lord, bless this day
Keep them close as he slips away.
Let him go gently into the light.
may his passing be not sad in anyway
Bless his children in this new day.
