A free verse written from a shoe's point of view
"Shoes: A Perspective

I walk for miles never tiring
Yet I get little credit
I protect and kiss everybody's foot
And for it I am usually ignored.

How would you feel if you were I
Try being in my place
Stuck supporting all the weight
Wading through God knows what
Yet you never hear me complain.

I simply do my job
Only to retire into the trash bin
Having never said a word.
