A short journey with a longer story
In Transit

The bus went past your stop today
It just drifted on by
As if it knew you’d gone away
A Phantom to my eyes
The ghost of you just stood and stared
Frozen in a rhyme
A sight for which I’m not prepared
Yet seek it every time
Every time I reach the stop
Every time we pass
Dwelling on a haunted spot
The leavings of a past
The leaving of a past mistake
A past that’s been and gone
Left within the bus's wake
As time for me moves on
