A woman finds her true self by releasing her pain and walking toward her future.
She smiles in visible relief
then  dies at the final sunrise.
Her freedom is on the other side
of the wall.

She takes a step
then lays her shell down.
The burden cracks
the starving ground.

She opens her mouth
to invisible sound.
She inhales the warmth
then exhales the cloud.

She is touched
by invisible hands.
They trace the scars’
in visible span.

She sees their faces
in visible pride
then falls into darkness
to the other side

She went past the wall
then to the stars,
no longer damaged
with invisible scars.
