In my head, in this heart, a wilderness of words and ideas lives. I go where I must.

Bizarre
Not far
Riding
The whims
Of the mind
Ignore sanity
Replace reality
Dare myself to be
Grandiose
Pompous
Thus refined
Doing time
Alive
Paying this price
Seemingly
Quite steep
Unreasonable
Indeed
Who set
These rules
And why
Breaking them
Shattering them
Now that’s living
All things else
Just existence
Punching
And kicking
Get me out
Let me be free
This womb
Is constricting
Gripping
Squeezing life
Out of creation
Leaving me feeling
As if I was born
In the wrong time
I don’t belong
Is this now
These words
Not just anecdotes
These words
Fuel for the fire
There are some
Maybe I’m one
That just want to
Watch this world
Burn
Then again
Maybe I’m not
I might be
Something else
Someone else
Maybe all of these
Are astute lies
Told convincingly
Maybe I’m brilliant
Maybe I’m insane
Can I be both
Maybe I’m nothing
In this life
Where everything
Is more God
Then I
I’m just not sure
So here I am
Writing out lines
Taking the time
Riding
The whims
Of the mind
I go where
And when
It dare takes me
I’ll refuse
No place and time
I’ll express it all
There is nothing safe
From me
And because of me
I’ll write until death
And at some point
Way off in the distance
All of this will make sense
In a world increasingly
Nonsensical…
