MY FRIEND

My friend is a bird,
Who soars high in the blue sky
perches on the sailing boat
picks up the swimming fish
rests in the cool n green nest.

My friend is a friend,
Who runs to the lonely soul
extends the helping hand
smiles for the sulky face
and cares for the crystal tears.

My friend is a being,
Who gives me a word to break
gives me a time to cross
gives me a smile for tears
gives me a dream for reality.
