A relationship that could never be, and was really only preserved by one person's passion.
You're everything to a someone,

but you're nothing to most,

We all think we are stars,

with a talent to toast.

You're floating with him,

while I wait on the shore,

You're ecstatic and manic,

hoping you realize there is more.

You could be my muse,

my creative drug and addiction,

You would want for nothing,

until you chose another affliction.

You're a planet in space,

and I am it's moon,

Protecting you from attack,

in hopes you will soon,

But you won't, and I can't.

And I love that the best,

We will never be anything,

not even to each other,

for I made a lifelong connection,

while you don't even bother,

I will forever be a part of your collection,

another ship in your harbour
