The benefits of Tai Chi.

I often am incredulous
about the those things I cannot see.
But now I am less skeptical
since every day I do Tai Chi.

Internal is the energy,
or chakra as the Hindus say.
This martial art unlocks my mind
allowing light to come my way.

The gates within are open wide
allowing travel through the brain.
I do not have the wanderlust
to do it by car, bus or train.

A mind that’s closed is but a stone
impervious to any light.
The martial art I do each day
provides a wealth of pure insight.

The vision that I now possess
is like a third eye looking in.
Tranquility, a sense of calm,
a situation of win, win.

I do not drone nor pop a pill
to roam the mind or calm the heart.
Yet day to day I get in touch
by practicing this martial art.
