This is a poem I adapted for my mom one year for Mothers day.
Mother: A Tribute To My Wonderful Mom

By David F. Garner

Mother, what a wonderful word,

It means protector, haven't you heard?

Mother, what a precious gift,

She is always giving, but often kissed?

Mother, what a lovely jewel,

Worth more than gold, what a fool!

Mother, what a sweet sound,

As it evokes memories, let her applause resound!

Mother, what a patient soul,

How shall I thank her, with praise tenfold!

Mother, what a lifelong joy,

If ever I lost her, what love would I employ?
