Poem from my heart showing my worries and concerns about my dad x
I know you weren't around,
When I was just a child.
My calls were never answered,
No matter what I dialed.

You always liked a drink,
You'd always get your way.
Yet now my biggest fear is,
It'll take your life one day.

I beg you to cut down,
To prolong the time we've got.
I'm scared for when you leave me,
Your smile, your touch, the lot.

I've always been your princess,
You'll always be my Dad.
And even at the worst of times,
You're the best I've ever had.

I worry for you daily,
I fear the dreaded day.
Of when I get that phone call,
To say you've passed away.

Every game of Frisbee,
And playing football too.
They're the things I'll miss the most,
Cause they remind me of just you.

Bedtime stories late at night,
Burnt breakfast in the morning.
These little things stick in my mind,
As this darker day is dawning.

Please hear my calls and listen close,
As this is cause I care.
I fear the day that I wake up,
And my Daddy is not there.
