loss and love, transformations,

I felt the loss of my bleeding heart
Loneliness engulfed me
Dragged down by its weight
Desperation and darkness
Devoured my soul

I re-emerged, a newly formed being
Ready to draw ether from bodies and souls
So that I may survive, I had dreams, more to do...to achieve
But that too was devoured

A lonely shell, barely vampiristic
My damnation a much-dreaded fate
No one sees me under this shroud of loneliness

A soul will touch and feel my pain
Reeling away with shock
But no empathy or recognition gained

My shroud dissipates, dragging me with it
Back to the darkness
Back to the dreaming, where there's so much to do
I wonder what will happen when the dreams fade away
I'm certain to find out one day
Just don't let it be today!
