An imaginary adventure suddenly becomes real
It was a hot, sunny summer day in Burbank California, and Marty was babysitting his younger brother Sam while his folks were out shopping.

Marty was twelve his Brother was five, Sam was laying on the porch and said "I'm so...Bored!"

Marty sighed and looked up from the book he was reading, Marty was a typical nerd who loved reading while Sam seemed to be an ADHD Ball of Energy who couldn't focus on anything to save his life.

"You know..." Said Marty "...You could do what I did at your age and use your imagination."

"What's imagination?" Asked Sam

"You're five years old and you still don't know what imagine is?" Asked Marty "I got that concept by age three!"

Marty closed the book and placed it on the table

"Imagination means you can think of anything." Marty said "Like this backyard...In our minds it can be more then a backyard...It can be a spaceship...Or a Castle or..."

"A place full of monsters?" Sam asked jumping to his feet

"Sure why not?" Sighed Marty apparently Sam was really into Monsters...Marty barely noticed what Sam was into he spent most of this time on the internet playing games and writing fanfiction.

"See that bush?" Asked Marty

"Yeah." Said Sam

"Well imagine that's not a bush...It's a green slime monster that's coming to eat us!"

Sam shrieked with laughter and jumped off the porch and ran into the grass

"And see that tree?" Asked Marty starting to laugh with Sam "That's not a tree it's really a Giant Zombie!"

"Arrgh!" Laugh-screamed Sam as the two of them went further into the backyard...

Then as they got closer to the Rose Bushes Marty and Sam felt two strong hands grab one of their hands, both of them screamed and turned

There hidden among the roses was what appeared for all intents and purposes a Dragon! A Real live Dragon, he was bright green in color so he blended in perfectly with the shrubbery

And then the Dragon Spoke

"Please..."The Dragon said weakly "...I'm starving...I'm injured...I need help."

"You can talk?!" Marty exclaimed

"Of course I can talk!" Exclaimed the Dragon"All Dragons can talk..."

The Dragon then collapsed still breathing but struggling.

Marty peered through the greenery and saw where the Dragon was injured

"He's been shot in the back leg!" Exclaimed Marty "Who would shoot a Dragon...I have no idea."

"Can we keep him?" Asked Sam

"He can talk!" Said Marty "He's not a pet...We better get him inside though...Help me carry him."

The Dragon was about as large as Barnyard Pig and about as heavy, Marty and Sam struggled to get him in.

Marty looked at all the food they had

"Oh Man this is tough..."Said Marty "How am I supposed to know what Dragons are supposed to eat? Most stories only mention them eating humans..."

Sam however didn't second guess himself, while Marty was still looking through the fridge Sam got a Banana, peeled it and gave it to the Dragon.

"Here's a Banana." Said Sam

The Dragon wrapped his forked tongue around the banana and pulled it into his mouth and gulped it down

"What's your name?" Asked Sam

"Name?" The Dragon cocked his head "We Dragons don't have names."

"Why?" Asked Sam

"We know who we are." Said the Dragon

"Can I call you Greeny?" Asked Sam "Since you're so Green?"

The Dragon huffed "Sure why not?"
