Questioning again...
What can we know
of love without loss,
life without death,
hope,
without despair?

I know not now
of times before the moment
man first laid eyes
upon the sky,
but I know he did so
knowing of the earth below.

And as we question
what has come to pass
within our time,
let us own our actions,
and learn without prejudice
from the errors
of the past.

For as we pass judgement
on those who came before,
let us be sure
that future generations
shall hold us to standards
not envisioned in our time.

We can learn to break all cycles.

But we have to start
with you and I.
