Written for Musical Drabble
Silence! That's all I hear tonight. I can't hear the music of the wind whispering through the red sands. Sometimes I wonder if I'm back on Earth and this is just a chemical induced nightmare. A silent endless nightmare playing through my shattered mind while machines keep my shatter body alive. Then I wake up and look out the window of my Quonset hut. I stare at the sunlight reflecting off the red sands of Mars. I inhale the recycled air wondering how many more days I must endure until Philippe and his squad return or a rescue ship arrives.
