Short poem describing a mans love and admirantions for a his childhood friend.
I can't find a beat, rhythm or cadence,
To match the drumming within my chest.
Hi hats and cymbals all lead to a symbol
That my heart is ready to sing on key to your arrangement and beautiful melody.
Methodically there was a message that commissioned a report to my soul
Which apprehended my inner being.
Instant snapshots of our lives
Flashbacks of preadolescence
Foreshadows of my consort in which destiny has captured with in a still frame, instant vision.
And as the saying goes
"A man knows when a man knows"
Written in the scriptures its not good for man to be alone
Eve was created to bring out the best in me.
You've spoken to my resolve
Erected a level of conviction,
While descending my suspicions,
And replaced it with a vision in my spirit
That I never knew existed.
Agreed, we'd live in the present, one day at a time,
Which only means tomorrow you'd be gifted again.
