 Winter Chill  (E)
Written in response to a prompt for Poet's Place, 12-15-16.
#2105650 by Chris Breva

Winter cold is in the air outside
Enter in if you’re very cold
Center yourself around the fire
Splinter off by yourself if you’re bold.

Plop yourself down in a chair
Drop everything you’re about to do
Flop your body around in the warmth
Stop the chill from harming you.

A Lento poem. Lento poetry is two quatrains with a rhyme scheme tense on the first word of AAAA BBBB and a last word rhyme scheme of abcb bdcd.
