Come on! Let's all go downtown and party with all the strangers;
Perhaps we'll see, as we dance 'round the town, some of our neighbors.
Excitement for the midnight celebration is in the air,
With flecks of gold, red, blue and green everywhere just like Times Square.

This time of year is not for depression or for feeling down;
It’s a time where resolutions reign supreme all 'round the town.
Where a kiss at the midnight hour can chase your troubles away;
Just don't go overboard and be too risqué in the stairway.

If things get too tipsy there is always a horse-drawn carriage,
Where you may perhaps consider a proposal of marriage.
Amidst champagne-filled glasses the new year draws ever so nigh;
So to the old year, with a sad sigh, we say our last goodbye.
