The drunkard's life for me!

One more glass! Just one more glass!
Another pint or three!
Glug, glug, glug, and chug, chug, chug,
The drunkard's life for me!

Another whiskey, my good man.
I can't stop till I drown.
All it takes is one bad day
To roll the curtains down.

This disease was long ago,
But it wasn't so bad.
Till the firm had let me go,
That's when it all went mad!

Day in, day out; bar or home,
I drank, and drank, and drank.
So much, that my wife left me,
My kid too. My heart sank.

One more glass! Just one more glass!
Another pint or three!
Glug, glug, glug, and chug, chug, chug,
The drunkard's life for me!

How can I stop the sickness,
Now that my heart is gone?
What light shines in endless night,
Without the grasp of dawn?

So cheers to when the bad things come,
And when the good times pass!
The only joy that's left in life
Is poison in a glass.

Cheers to life so cruel, it's kind.
Let's drink to life, today!
Clink your glasses, take a sip,
Let's drink our lives away!

One more glass! Just one more glass!
Another pint or three!
Glug, glug, glug, and chug, chug, chug,
The drunkard's life for me!
