The only road in which my heart is bound. The plague that is my mind.
It is a lonely road traveling inside your mind,
Like a prison you're trapped in all of the time.
Lonely nights I lay awake,
With a saddened heart that won't seem to break.

The voices at least keep me company,
Until my demons come for me.
Preying on the vulnerabilities that plague my heart,
Seeking to feed in the pitch of dark.

Stealing kisses from the midnight sun,
Begging for the feeding to be done.
This road is the path I have come to know,
It's the only place my feet will ever go.

I have memorized the twists and turns,
The soles of my feet hardened by the scars and burns.
Wishing for some kind of saving grace,
Desperately calling to leave this place.

Without any help from a hand of a stranger,
Without any hope of a rescuing savior....

My feet keep on treading down this path to no where.
Just to find that I'm already there.
