A poem for Colorado Springs, Colorado
Colorado Springs, where the mountains grow,
Giving a little snow to throw.
Children playing indoors and outdoors,
and even doing some of their chores.

Here the snow is pure
Of this, I am sure.
The sky is a beautiful blue,
Every day it feels so fresh and new.

The green trees and grass,
The children eager to get out of class.
Snowflakes that rest upon your head,
Oh how I cannot wait to get out of bed.

The frost kisses your nose,
Leaves swaying in the wind that blows.
Blades of grass flow in the breeze,
Oh how birds simply love the trees!

The stormy clouds say hello,
And even that doesn't make me mellow.
Streetlights make the beautiful frost glow,
Oh it's Colorado Springs, of nowhere else I'd love to go.
