The Darkest Hour

Ive walked the path that led the way from a childhood too young to know
That the sins of the parents would leave their mark and soon they'd start to show
Oh Innocence and Vulnerability, Believing Anything could be until one day in your darkest hour
You realise hold on that was me!

Ive walked the path that led the way when the reality sets in
That sweet youth was no consolation
For the pain that Id been in

Ive walked the path that led the way to Acceptance and Forgiveness.
And cried out to The Lord each day to show the way out of this madness.
I've walked the path that led the way yet still I think I'm lost,
T'is the Darkest Hour of the day when I sit and count the cost.

But I'll walk the path that leads the way
In the hope that I'll be found
And make my peace with all mankind
Before they put me in the ground!
