Pondering to the Lord coming up to Easter wrote this last year !
Gethsemane; Remembering Good Friday

Sat in that place awake and alone
I picture you Dear Lord weeping,
Your Apostles nearby but still on your own,
Their supposed to keep watch but they're sleeping.

Your troubles your fear as you saw whats to come
You bore it, I don't understand......
For our sakes you suffered and died on that cross?
And left all in your Fathers hand...

I can't help but wonder how it may have been
If it had been women, who'd sat by your side
Would they too have fallen asleep on you Lord?
And then you may not have died?

How lonely my Lord, that night must have been
How heavy the weight of your cross
The cruelty of death your poor mother had seen
Only a mother could comprehend that loss

So it comes to me Lord @ this time of year
All ti easy I'd forgotten my way
And to remember to thank you for all that you've done
Each day in my own unique way
Amen
