Without fear, regardless of what I know, or how I feel, I must go past, beyond all of this

Here
Upon an edge
A curb
A cliff
No difference
The fall
The same
The impact
Greater
To myself
Dare I
Wonder
What is over there
On the other side
I know
All too well
What’s behind
I fear
Not the step
Nor the leap
I am only afraid
Of what it will mean
How will my life
The one presently
That I am living
How will it change
Or more
Concerning
How will it not
I just don’t know
I just can’t
Freewill
God’s greatest gift
That often feels like
His swiftest punishment
We must live with
And by
What it is we decide
He shows us the path
He leads us from day one
But at some point
It must be one like this
He leaves our next step
And every other after that
Up to us
What will I do
I’m afraid to step
From this edge
Down from this curb
What if the impact
Kills me
Or what if
Something unseen
Unknown
Speeds on by
Taking me down
As it whips through
What should I do
What can it be
Is there an answer
That I can live with
Or is there a decision
That will be the end
Of all of this
Perilous
Indeed is this intersection
But like all things in life
It comes down to choice
And a willingness to decide
And live with that decision
Or simply put
Not
So like all who have
Come before me
And those who have yet to
I will make a choice
A leap of faith
As well as
A step of fate
Out there
Ahead of me
Into the intersection
Of every person’s existence
I will hold no fear
In this heart
Or in this mind
God so gracious
Gave me the right to decide
And the ability to live
And if so be it
Die by such decisions
I’d tell you the end
The outcome of this
If it would help
But I know in my heart
And in my mind
That all I could say
And how I spell it out
Would matter not
Freewill
God’s greatest gift
To all of us in kind
Never turn back
To that from which you came
Only go forward
From who and where you are
If you can manage that
You’ll will find peace
And happiness
Somewhere
Someplace
On the other side
Of all of this…
