Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
LET FAITH ARISE:

Hebrews 11: 1 - Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11: 6 - And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Faith is also completed trust or confidence in someone or something:
2 Corinthians 5: 7 - For we live by faith, not by sight.
When we live by faith is simply means we trust that whatever we are hoping to happen will happen eventually. It will come to pass and do not doubt in any circumstance.
How does this faith come?
Romans 10: 17 - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
In order to hear we need to speak the word of God. Read your bible aloud.

Let us look at Abraham's Faith:
Hebrews 11: 8 -It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.
We all know how the story of Abraham goes. He responded to God's calling and took off from his father's house. God even did not inform him where he is going. Abraham had no idea about his destiny, but he trusted God and by faith he stepped out. A lot of times God will not show us all in one time but he wants us to trust him and step out in faith when he calls us.
Genesis 17: 5 - No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.
When God changed his name from Abram to Abraham he has no child; but God said and Abraham believed that settles it. Now Abraham went to his wife and told her that he is no longer Abram but Abraham; the father of many nations. I am sure he called out all his servants and had a tool box meeting and he told them that from now onwards they should call him Abraham. When ever he introduces himself to anyone he must have said : Hi I am Abraham [father of many nations]; how you doing, or if anyone wanted his attention they uses his name Abraham [father of many nation]. Every time either his uses his name or somebody else uses his name they were claiming one thing that he is the father of many nations. As we already know that faith come from hearing and here Abraham was hearing this again and again that he is the father of many nations; and as he began to hear these word, his faith began to rise and by his faith he received his breakthrough.
Abraham did not receive his breakthrough over night but he refused to give up.
Abraham has not doubt in his mind or in his heart; he was bold and many must be talking about him. You know Abram; guess what he just changed his name to Abraham; father of many nations and he even did not have a child. His wife Sarah is barren and here he is saying he is the father of many nation. He is crazy. Many negative impacts but Abraham was not shaken by people's opinion and people's doesn't matter.
Romans 3: 22 - This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.
2 Corinthians 5: 21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
God declares us righteous people and we did not earn it. When God declares us righteous therefore we are righteous and believe it in our heart. When we believe that we are righteous than we must also declare it to ourselves and to others as well.
Many Christians just saying that they are righteous but believing and whenever they do something wrong they confess that they are sinners. God does not look at you as a sinner but righteous and Christians do not look themselves as righteous but sinners.
God's promise matters and many Christians think too much about what people will think or say. They don't confess their faith with boldness. In their mind they will always think that others will think that their are crazy. If God is telling you to do something and it sounds crazy to others so be it. It is better to do crazy stuffs that God tells us and receive our breakthrough.
Abraham received his breakthrough and finally Isaac was born. One day God spoke to Abraham and asked him to sacrifice his only son Isaac.
Genesis 22: 1-3 Some time later, God tested Abraham's faith. "Abraham!" God called. "Yes," he replied. "Here I am." He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son, Isaac. Then he chopped wood for a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had told him about.

One thing I learnt that Abraham even didn't tell Sarah about this. He kept it secret and no one knew apart from God and Abraham. There are times when God tells you to do something please don't go around telling people. What if Abraham told his wife about this. How would she reacted. As a mother she would try to protect her only son from dying. She would have changed Abraham's decision. Negative opinion from others may disturb our faith. It can bring doubt in our minds and in our hearts. Abraham knew this well therefore he kept quiet. Some time it is better to keep quite and follow God and do His will.
So Abraham obeyed him and took Isaac to the place where God told Abraham to go. We pick up the verse:-
Genesis 22: 5 - He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you."
The scripture says we will worship and then we will come back to you.
WE: used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself and one or more other people considered together:
When Abraham said we; he was speaking in faith that what he is hoping for that will happen.
What Abraham was hoping for? That God will spare his son and both will come
back. No harm will be done to Isaac.
Another lesson we learn here that Abraham did not take his servants up to the mountain. He asked them to stay back and only him and Isaac will go. He stopped them for a reason that they can also created diversion. I am sure the servants would have stopped Abraham from scarifying Isaac. They would have said something like how can you give your only son whom you received after a long wait. No don't do this. They would have talked through him. Sometimes people will not understand and that's why it is better to do things alone and fulfil God's will.
Let us move to next verse:
Genesis 22: 6-8 - Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son, and he took in his hand the fire and the knife. So the two of them walked on together. Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." And he said, "Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham said, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." So the two of them walked on together.
Again we read that Abraham spoke the word of faith that God will provide the lamb for burnt offering.
Abraham was speaking out of faith; he spoke to the servant that both of them are coming back and to Isaac that God will provide.
Most of the time we think how come Abraham knew that God will not sacrifice his son. How come he was so sure. 1st Abraham trusted God completely at the very first time when God called him to come out of his father's house. 2nd God promised Abraham that he is going to be father of many nations and 3rd God promised Him that his descendant will be like the stars in the sky.
Genesis 15: 5 - Then the LORD took Abram outside and said to him, "Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That's how many descendants you will have!"
How can anyone have descendants if they don't have a son. Abraham had only one promised son and if that son is taken away than God's promised would have not fulfilled. That cannot happen for God always accomplished what He says. His promises are yes and amen.
Today we have the word of God which is full of His promises to us. When God says in His word that He will do it; it means it will be done and nothing can stop it coming to pass.
Abraham knew what God told him and in his heart he hoped for it to accomplished so he spoke out if faith. Abraham did not allow the circumstance change his mind nor his confession. He knew the good work that God started He will finish it. God is not a failure. When we read further down we saw what Abraham confessed out of faith it happened.
Genesis 22: 10 - 13 Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." He said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me." Then Abraham raised his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the place of his son.
What I learn from Abraham's life that he put his faith into action. When God called him without even not telling him his destination. In faith he stepped out. When God changed his name; in faith he took action and he changed his name and starts calling himself the father of many nations. When God asked him to sacrifice his son; in faith he obeyed God.
Let faith arise: Remember God is faithful and believe in Him.
Ephesians 3: 20 - Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.
When we face certain things in our lives. When circumstance are against us. Let us be like man and woman of faith and confess the word of God and believe in our hearts that it will accomplished because God has said.
Zechariah 4: 6 - 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.
Throughout the Gospel we read that many were healed when they came to Jesus and every time Jesus repeated the word your faith has healed you.
Romans 10: 10 - For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Do you believed in the promises of God? Do you believe that all things are possible for God.
Matthew 9: 26 -But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Let faith arise: when Devil the deceiver speaks to you saying nay God doesn't love you and has forgotten about you. Shut his mouth by the word of God.
Romans 8:35 -Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
1 Kings 8: 57 - The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
The word of God tells us to protect our minds from ungodly thoughts.
Ephesians 6: 17 - Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Put on the helmet on our head to protect our mind from thoughts that are not godly.
Bible says helmet of salvation - salvation means being saved from sin; sin has separated us from God. Salvation is given to mankind and it is from God. When we believe in His son Jesus Christ we are saved. We are being reconciled to God through faith in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 10: 3 -5- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
Let faith arise and speak the word of hope and do not doubt come and take away the promise that God has made.
Ephesians 6: 16 - In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
What are the flaming darts of the evil one? The lies he tells you; the doubts that he brings and the confusion and reasoning he causes in your head.
Mark 11: 23 - Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
1 Timothy 6: 12- Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Let faith arise in time of trouble and hardship; in times of persecution and in storms.
John 14: 1-3 - Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
Hebrews 10: 23 - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
1 Timothy 1: 19 - Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
Some people deliberately violated their consciences - they deliberately pullulated they minds with ungodly thought and even spoke against the word of God. Many times they went and did what they thought was right and they failed.
A very good example we find when Israelites came out off Egypt. When they faced the Red Sea.
Exodus 14: 10-12 - As Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel looked, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel cried out to the LORD. Then they said to Moses, "Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt? "Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, 'Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians '? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness."
When they were in the desert and were very thirsty.
Numbers 20: 2- 5- There was no water for the congregation, and they assembled themselves against Moses and Aaron. The people thus contended with Moses and spoke, saying, "If only we had perished when our brothers perished before the LORD! Why then have you brought the LORD'S assembly into this wilderness, for us and our beasts to die here? "Why have you made us come up from Egypt, to bring us in to this wretched place? It is not a place of grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, nor is there water to drink."
The Israelites complained every time they face the trouble; and by doing this they faith was shipwrecked and spent 40 years in the wilderness.
Let faith arise within you and do not loose it.
Revelation 3: 3 - 'So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.
2 Corinthians 13:5 -Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.
The scripture says test yourselves; how? By watching how you are reacting when things don't go your way. When you are in the storms of trouble. What is coming from your mouth when circumstance are against you.
Revelation 2: 10 - Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.
Remain Faithful till the end. Remember no one can please God without faith.
Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
