The beginning of the end
Step by step
I take down an uneven road
Step by step
I hear the cars roar

As I walk,
A burden I must bare
I lay down flat
beneath the soft grass

I don't wipe away my tears
as cars fly by me
I wish over and over
that everything would just stop

Step by step
my legs are numb
my strength is gone
And I am home

I grab the bottle of pills
and pour in my cup
I fill the water
and begin to sip

As you speak,
I plan my death
and hope you'll catch on
but alas you did not.

The pills decay and dilute
like the my will to live.
How many sips will it take
for you to realize my pain?

I begin to feel dizzy.
My stomach wants to die.
Still, I smile to you
as I drink my elixir.
