The morning sun speaks volumes.
Spoken morning through quiet light
piercing shadows of deafened night
a laughing break in leaden skies
the somber shade of saddened eyes
an enigmatic loving spark
drawing amber from the dark

Above the sun asks questions why
accusations the dark denies
in language meant for conversations
used only for illumination
hearing of what morning spoke
there after when I awoke

It talks of faith that bonds our lives
of knowing when the sun arrives
it screams to us," At last I'm here "
shining light through darkened fear
hearing all it has to say
it speaks to us another day
