sound of silence
just sitting in my chair
breathing still air
listening the sound of silence

world seems still
just crickets shrill
raising the voice of defiance

thousands of thoughts
shaking mind knots
seeking a nudge of guidance

the torment inside
with raging tides
smashing the shore of tolerance
