Two brothers dueling for the crown. (Interpolation of the book "Expendable")
Pretenders have been legion
clad in borrowed rags
behind impenetrable armor
behest the first of lads

Swiftest minds with frailty of flesh
next born shall not suffer
in bitter spectacle the children fought
for mortality of the other

Death was currency of their lives
when every cry was glass
grant mine ears the silence came
when life was thine to pass

Shadows be dogging every step
spoils of thine choice
"Daggers before me as nightfall comes"
cries Death's haunting voice
