The Hi-5 Trinket

I have made many trinkets
and they're all special to me
but if I had to choose one-
and trust me, this is like
picking a favorite child-
I'd have to choose
my Hi-5 trinket.

Considering I almost auditioned
at the open call
and waited my whole life to meet them,
it was really a dream come true.

I still remember
talking to Sis in 5th or 6th grade,
the night we found out
Hi-5 was in Tasmania
but leaving the next day.
I wanted to get a letter to them,
but that definitely didn't happen,
so it fueled my desire instead.

And now, 8 years later,
I stood with the cast,
who are all around my age,
and we all posed with the Hi-5 hand.
