A poem I wrote after things didn't work out with someone, written from her point of view.
Jealousy is born of love,
A twisted gift, cast from above.
But misery is all it gives,
In darkened hearts is where it lives.
If moving on is your desire,
Cast jealousy into the fire.

I trusted you with friendship wrought,
Despite ill deeds others had brought.
My heart opened and made you room,
With hope that love could maybe bloom.
But that was not our fate it seemed,
You weren't the one of whom I dreamed.

Forgive me, but I truly tried,
Your friendship I won't cast aside.
Still, you mean the world to me,
There's more of you I'd like to see.
So stay and rest your troubled mind,
As dear friends, shall our souls bind?
