Resentment is the mortar which holds the bricks of alienation and despair together.

Mirage

Life is a desert

With winds of despair blowing all over

No one to rely upon,

Everyone fighting a battle of their own

For dreams of success

The piles of sand change their shape,

Taking its time

Sometimes, the destiny seems to be easy

When you are perspicacious about it

But it might not be

The real one

It could be a mirage,

A false impression,

Of your destiny and faith

It will lead you nowhere,

Except a hollow glory, created by you

Why is that?

Our perception of success

Is so inscrutable

Following one mirage

Is not fulfillment?

An unreasonable outpouring of commitment

Leading us nowhere

We build our roads till the very end

People walk along with us,

But no one walks it for us

These steps are of our own

We all deserve what this life has to offer,

To make this world even better

This mirage that we live in,

Is killing us from within

Who we are is all that we have to grace

Being someone else is our biggest mistake

Is this all superficial?

Unpretentious as it seems

What we have is perennial

Don't let this mirage deceive you

This brevity of human life worries us all.

We require more ambition and diligence

To change a mirage,

To our success story

And to prove as an example

To a world full of stories.
