I have a friend who has always been there when I've needed it. This poem is for her.
There are times when it is needed,
To praise loved ones at length.
So I'll say she's not conceited,
Instead so full of strength.

Her dear heart has been so wounded,
Yet did not turn to stone.
So instead I have concluded,
She made her life her own.

If you saw her you might not see,
That she can hold her own.
But I hope that you will trust me,
That she'd survive alone.

But her strength is not just mental,
In fact, she is quite strong.
Yet her heart, is very gentle,
She just wants to belong.

So she's searched both wide and longer,
Than I would dare to go.
My best thoughts, could only conjure,
The sights she's come to know.

So who is this dear soul laden,
With my youthful folly?
It's indeed the warrior maiden,
My very dear Holly.
