comparing music and love (a poem by me when I was a seventh grader)
Music and love
to me, are one.

They are of the same nature,
the same origin,
the same blood.

As a child, the love of my mother
was incarnate in the songs
she sang to me as she
rocked me to sleep.

A marriage ceremony is full of music
because it is the true expression
of the real love two people share.

The look on the face of an excellent musician
is the same as that on the face of a lover
pouring out his soul to his beloved.

And even in death,
I am sure
that the song of the angels
is one and the same
as the love of the Almighty
welcoming another his children home.
