No matter how bad things get, keep skimming stones.
Echo Chambers

Echoes through a chamber
Familiar, Foreign... Found
Lost amidst the failures
I note the common ground

Like ripples on a river
Rocks skim across a lake
All the things I'd give her
If I had the nerve to take

An ounce of what was offered
For all the things I've lost
For all my sins, I've suffered
It's more than worth the cost

She wouldn't match the décor
Yet still I skim those stones
Such skeletons can say more
Such coveted drowned bones

Bone white notions stillborn
Bleached white, right at their birth
Lost in conception at dawn
Consigned unto the earth

To echo in dark warrens
Notions ripple, spread and slip
Familiar yet so foreign,
as stray stones still skim... and skip
