A girl has been careless for quite some time and it's now catching up.
The girl seemed a cheeky monkey,
Never thinking of horridness,
Nor of any violence.

Strawberry jam and toast were favored.
Nothing else did she eat.
For she thought it looked pretty.
Thought it looked innocent.

Her words were like a douser.
Like a fire extinguisher.
When painful words were spat,
She was there;
Ready to put out the flames.

When she saw pretty necklaces,
Covered in diamond chips,
And plated gold,
She turned her head.
Greed would not hold her.

But every night,
Shadows came creeping back,
Haunting memories.
How hard she tried to repay her debt.
The debt of wrongdoings.

Alas...
It could not be paid.
