Time and effort can sometime be wasted looking for something you already have!
GOOD MORNING! Shouting it from the rooftop. Woke up in good form this morning and popped out of bed ready for whatever this day has to offer. Thankful to be one of those popping up. Got my call from my son this morning at 6:50 a.m. not his usual 7:30/8:00 a.m. call and he was already at work. Love getting that call every morning.

Thought about my blessings as I walked through my house and made decisions about how I want it to look this holiday season. I desperately wanted a forest or hunter green tablecloth, and matching curtains, and spent the last few days looking for them. NO LUCK. Yes, I checked them out online, but was afraid the colors would not be the same.

Finally, last night, I decided to go with what I already had on hand, and woke up this morning pulling stuff out.

Remember that issue with too much stuff I talked about earlier this year. LOL. YEP, too much stuff. When you have had fifty years of Christmas, and purchased stuff year after year, and everything became sacred, well, it piles up green tablecloth and all. LOL No curtains, so the green tablecloth is out.

I think that we often already have what we need, but in the rush of our world and our lives, we forget about it, and until we truly search ourselves, what we need stays buried. We also fall into the trap of what we have is not or could not be good enough because we have had it for so long. I tried to count the number of hours and steps I took looking for what I already had, and it amounted to three FULL DAYS and more than 10,000 steps. REALLY? What else could I have done in that time or with that time?

MY LESSON -- before I go rushing around looking for something else be sure that it is worth the effort, and that I do not already have something just as good or better already in my possession. Not a bad lesson for two whole days of walking -- at least it got me walking, and that is not a bad deal either. LOL
Peace and blessings always.

UPDATE: Here is the Christmas Table, without the candles. Looks kind of festive to me.
Still have to hang the curtains, and red bows before being ready to get this holiday season underway.
